God gave us one Book and it is Jesus Christ who is the fulfilment of that Book.
Matthew 26:53-54 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
If you study religion, the majority of religions have adopted their spiritual leaders, and those leaders all have one thing in common and that is they wrote their own book according to their visions and their laws which in turn has become their scriptures.
But compare that to Jesus Christ, Jesus never wrote any book or wrote anything for that matter, but what He said and did Had been recorded by another for example from the Old Testament Prophecies and what He said and did were recorded by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Before and after the cross Jesus had shown to the disciples that he was the one sent to fulfil, as shown hen the two disciples were on the road to Emmaus Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. This Jesus said before they crucified him on the cross.
Luke 18:31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
So Jesus said he had come to fulfil the scriptures (The Old Testament) by way of the first and second advent, he came the first time and has risen to come the second time, which will fulfil scripture.
Ok so he didn’t write anything about himself, and need did Jesus speak his own words.
John 8:26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
So then that the words that have been recorded from when Jesus came the first time were the Fathers words. Just before Jesus was to be crucified he said to the disciples that he would send another comforter the Holy Ghost.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
So the third person of the God head the Holy Ghost will also not speak of himself, but will testify of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:20-21
So all of the above God had put in one book which was the Old Testament. The New Testament isn’t new it is just that it has been revealed from the Old Testament.
So Jesus never had to write anything about himself it had already been written. So the first and second advents are the fulfilment of the of the Old Testament.
When Paul was training Timothy he said 1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
God has preserved his word and his promises in one book which is called the Bible and that Bible is the King James Bible. There is no other other book that is complete and without error.
If you are searching for something and you don’t know what that something is, find a King James Bible and follow what Jesus said in John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
There is one God one Saviour one Book.
Hopefully you will take this and expound on the fact that Jesus Christ is the very fabric of the scriptures and we should beware of those that are not consenting to the wholesome words of Jesus Christ.
