Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

This weeks message is about what God wants, we often miss the message from the bible and that is God wants our expectations to be in Him, our dependency is to be found in his word and what he said.

  2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

That ye be not soon shaken in mind

That ye be not soon shaken in mind

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3:

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means:

Eschatology Lesson five:

Deals with the issue that the Apostle Paul was dealing with when he wrote to the believers at Thessolinaca about be being shaken in mind and troubled by a letter that was circulating that didn’t come from Paul himself.  Obviously the letter opposed what Paul had taught, and in context would have raised a question, maybe in this manner,  out of all the prophets of the Old testament including Jesus Christ taught a pre – Tribulation Rapture?

The Tribulation or Daniel seventieth week is not in question, but rather what is in question is which doctrine does the Bible teach: Pre-Tribulation, mid -Tribulation or a post- Tribulation.

When a person is shaken in mind, it simply means  they don’t know what to believe. This can lead to anxiety, loss of faith and assurance in the one we have all trusted to be our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:18
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
